Sales Policy

Sales Policy

Gibson Farm will only sell goats in pairs, unless you already have goats.  Goats are herd animals and need companions.  We care a great deal about our goats and want them to have happy, healthy homes.

All kids will be disbudded, tattooed, and vaccinated for CD/T before leaving our farm.  If purchasing a bottle baby buyer is responsible for administering CD/T and booster.  We use a coccidia prevention in the form of medicated feed for all of our kids.  Kids are dewormed as needed.  We always recommend that you deworm any new goats.

Gibson Farm retains the right to retain any goat born on our farm.  If a deposit has been placed on a goat and we decide to retain it said deposit will be refunded.  We do our best to fill our reservations, but we have no control over what sex is born.  If you have any questions about our reservations or sales policies, please contact us and we would be glad to assist you.  Gibson Farm terms and conditions are subject to change without notice.  We sell our goats on a first come, first serve basis.

Deposit/Payment

Once you select your goat(s) $100 deposit per goat is required to hold your goat(s) until weaning age.  Bottle babies must be picked up by 4 weeks old.  Due to our limited space and the fertile nature of bucklings we can not keep them past 8 weeks old.  Babies are typically weaned at 8-10 weeks.  Any goat not picked up by the pre set date or weaning will be charged $2 per day boarding fee.  Any goat not picked up after 30 days of pick up date will result in all deposits being forfeited and the goat being put back up for sale.  When we have received a deposit on a goat it will be marked as "Sale Pending".  We will accept a check for the deposit as long as it is 10 business days until the pick up date.

Final payment must be made in cash at the time of pick up.  All deposits are non-refundable.  We are now accepting paypal as payment.  There will be an additional charge if you use to pay us.   Please, contact us prior to sending a payment via paypal.

Registration

Our Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats are registered with ADGA and AGS.  Our Alpines are registered with ADGA.  Kids are sold with the registration applications for ADGA and AGS.  It is the buyers responsibility to pay the registration and transfer fees.  Adults are sold with the certificate and bill of sale.  It is the buyers responsibility to pay the transfer fee and put the goat into their name.  The cost to replace lost or damaged registration applications or certificates is $20.  Payment must be received before we will send out replacement paperwork.  ADGA members we are happy to do the ADGA register and transfer your new goat at cost directly to you.  Please, include the amount in the payment of your goat and provide us with your ADGA Member number.

Bred Does Sales

Does sold as bred/exposed have been serviced by a buck.  Due to the chance of the doe aborting during transfer we do not guarantee that you will have live babies.  Does purchased and paid for in full may be exposed to a buck before leaving our farm for an additional charge.  Buck exposure is typically 30 days.  The bill of sale will have the date paid in full on it.  If it is prior to the buck service the offspring will carry the buyers herd name and tattoo.  If the doe is already bred before the sale then a Doe only Service Memo will be issued.  No money paid for breeding will be refunded after the doe leaves our property.  It is the buyers responsibility to contact us after the kids are born.  We will issue an ADGA service memo online to register the does.  This allows buyers to use the online registration with ADGA.  There will be a $100 fee for all service memo's done after the kids are born.  A service memo is needed if you want to register the kids.  No service memo's will be issued until payment has been received.

Adult Sales

Gibson Farm will hold an adult or already weaned goat for one week while you make transportation arrangements.  If transportation is going to take longer than 2 weeks we ask for half of the purchase price to be paid as a deposit.  No animal will be held for longer than one week without a deposit.

Testing

Our purchased herd members over 6 months old have tested negative for CAE, CL, Johnes and Brucellosis.  We have done some TB testing for those that have purchased from us with the results being negative.  If you would like your goats tested before you pick them up we are happy to do so.  Buyer is responsible for all costs associated with testing requested.
